Membership

Membership

KELLA Membership.

The value of the right peers.

Bring your experience. Draw on theirs. KELLA connects top leaders for candid exchange, considered introductions and relationships that extend beyond any one gathering. Membership is by invitation.

Membership requirements

The calibre of the collective.

KELLA is shaped by the people in it. We look for experience, sound judgement and a willingness to contribute.

  • Calibre. A record of building, leading, governing or investing in organisations of consequence.
  • Contribution. Experience worth sharing, perspective worth hearing and the curiosity to learn from others.
  • Commitment. Time and attention for the collective, in person and online.
  • Conduct. Discretion, mutual respect and a commitment to non-solicitation. Confidentiality is part of the community guidelines every Member agrees to when they sign up.

Membership profile

Current and former executives, founders, investors, board directors and independent advisers, connected by the level of their experience and what they bring to the room.

  • Executives who have led a business, function or P&L of significant scale.
  • Founders who have built and continue to grow an operating business.
  • Independents whose judgement is sought on boards, portfolios and advisory roles.
  • Leaders in transition bringing an established record to their next venture, portfolio or field.

Three pathways

One bar. Three ways to meet it.

Membership has two parts: professional attainment and mutual fit. Attainment is judged on substance rather than title, and a prospect needs to meet only one pathway. Membership is role agnostic and industry agnostic.

Executive.

Senior leadership, VP-equivalent or above in substance. Ownership of a substantial function, business, geography or critical portfolio, with real decision authority and personal accountability for significant outcomes, sustained over time. Ten or more years at that level is one signal of seniority, not a hard threshold.

Founder.

Founder or co-founder of a substantive enterprise built beyond a personal practice, with a team, operating complexity and durability. Revenue of around £3M / $5M / €2M is one signal of scale, not a hard threshold.

Independent Influence.

Substantive authority as a board director or non-executive director, investor or senior adviser, or as a recognised creator or thought leader with sustained influence in the field. Honorary or visibility-based roles are not enough.

Attainment carries across career chapters. A Member who has reached the bar still qualifies after an exit, a move into a portfolio career, a period of transition or a new venture. A new venture does not need to meet the bar on its own.

Experienced peers.

Considered introductions.

Collective knowledge.

The value of membership

Enrichment, for the long term.

  • Peer counsel. Put a decision on the table. Hear perspectives grounded in experience, and test your own.
  • A global network. Relationships across chapters, with considered introductions through TruePeer.
  • Executive education. Develop your thinking through masterclasses, the Board Readiness Studio and the Catalyst Global Leadership Programme.
  • Impact. A portion of each subscription supports grants, causes and projects chosen by Members.

What Founding Members receive

Everything in Global+. Then more.

Founding status sits on top of KELLA Global+, the full membership and not a stripped-down version. Founding Members receive everything in the tiers table above, including local chapter membership, Top Table Dinners, the Catalyst Global Leadership Programme and quarterly in-person gatherings, plus the following.

  • Founding rate. 50% off the standard Membership price for life, for as long as membership remains unbroken. The 50% applies to Membership only. Summits and Retreats are not included in membership: the Summit is available at the Member rate, and the Retreat opens to Members from their second year of membership, as for any other Member.
  • Early entry. Access to the chapter ahead of public launch, with a direct hand in shaping it.
  • Recognition. Standing as a founding voice of the chapter, kept even if the founding rate is later lost. At KELLA’s discretion.
  • KELLA Global+ only. Founding membership is exclusive to KELLA Global+, because it belongs to the chapter’s founding in-person cohort. It is not available on Global.
  • Ongoing eligibility. Founding status does not waive KELLA’s membership criteria. Every Founding Member continues to meet the same bar as any other Member.

How Founding Members help build the chapter

  • Referral. Points for introducing others to KELLA, tracked on a leaderboard in the member dashboard. The top 10 referrers are hosted for a night away every 12 months, to start.
  • Network discount. A personal, trackable code offering 10% off to your own network. Always available, with no expiry or cap.
  • Contribution. An optional menu of further ways to build KELLA’s presence, such as running masterclasses, hosting events or writing articles. It is open to those who want to go further, with no minimum attached to the founding rate.

Chapters

Local rooms. Global relationships.

Chapters bring Members together by city. The wider collective connects them across borders.

[ CHAPTER DROPDOWN ]

Chapters not yet open to the public launch with a founding cohort. Founding Members join ahead of launch and help shape the chapter.
